Guarantees- We all like them, but have sometimes been dissatisfied with them because of companies changing hands or changing policies after the fact or fine print exclusions. Those guarantees are far from a sure thing.

There was a bumper sticker that read “Tithe if you love Jesus any fool can honk”.
I. ORDINANCES AND THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING THEM.
In the NT church age, we have but two ordinances and the great commission.
God’s moral commands are eternally valid.
Greatest Commandments and the 10 commandments.
We are not under the OT ordinances of tithing. There were 3 separate tithes as well as offerings.
Tithing is a principle and command that predates the Old Testament law.

Jehovah brings a charge against the generation of Malachi’s day.
Their words were “stout,” bold, loud, defiant, proud.

Reverence in their speaking about the Lord and biting their tongue when foolish thoughts came into their mind were both lacking.
